Meet Our Doctors of CU Dermatology – Boulder CU Dermatology Boulder is excited to welcome Dr. Brandon Kirsch! Dr. Kirsch completed his post-baccalaureate program at the University of Pennsylvania, medical school at Brown University and internship at the Mayo Clinic. He then completed his dermatology residency at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Kirsch has interests in the therapeutic development and medical innovation. In partnership with the Mayo Clinic, he filed to patent a novel topical composition for the treatment of melasma. Dr. Kirsch also received a grant from the Mayo Clinic to complete a study of this formulation. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and a founding member of the Advancing Innovation in Dermatology (AID) Education Committee. Prior to becoming a doctor, Dr. Kirsch started his career as a lawyer and holds law degrees from the University of Western Ontario (LL.B.) and Georgetown University (LL.M. Securities and Financial Regulation). Dr. Kirsch is also the medical director at Brickell Biotech, Inc., a small pharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel and differentiated therapies for the treatment of skin diseases. Dr. Anthony Parris has been a medical dermatologist for 34 years. He is the former Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at New York Presbyterian Weill-Cornell Medical College. He holds three board certifications in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Anatomic Pathology. Dr. Parris is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is a member of the European Academy of Dermatology and the American Medical Association, the New York State Dermatologic Society, and the Greater New York Dermatologic Society. Dr. Parris specializes in adult, pediatric and geriatric dermatology and dermatologic surgery. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from State University of New York, Upstate Medical University and completed his residency in Anatomic Pathology at Mount Sinai and his residency in dermatology at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical College. He has a special interest in medical dermatology with emphasis in the treatment of psoriasis and eczema and the use of phototherapy to treat these conditions. Dr. Parris is fluent in Greek and has received the Best Physicians Chosen by their Peers awards- New York Times Magazine, AMA, Physician’s Recognition Award, and the AAD Continuing Medical Education Award. Kimberly Bacharach, PA-C, joined CU Dermatology Boulder in November of 2016. She is nationally certified, a member of The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and part of the Colorado Academy of PA’s (CAPA). She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at University of Minnesota Duluth, and her graduate degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she graduated with highest honors. Kimberly grew up in Minnesota, but she relocated to Colorado in October 2015. She is trained in medical dermatology as well as cosmetics, including botox and filler.
